Later, apartment 52!

After almost four years on Comm Ave, we're heading out! Although the apartment was big, and had lots of storage and a good view, we won't miss the 1 a.m. train honks, the leaking ceilings, the constant traffic, and the banging radiator heaters. We have made many good memories there though and will miss some things... Well, it is what it is. We're OUT!

Hello Mr., I mean Dr...

It's official: I'm married to a Doctor

Matt delivered his defense on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, to a group of professors, eager-to-listen students (possibly insert sarcasm here), friends, and ME! All dressed up and looking fabulous, he spoke with confidence on subjects I can't even begin to understand. Overall, he was very impressive, and his professors thought so, too, since they only took half an hour to question him after the presentation. (I guess it can take much longer than that...) Anyway, I'm very proud of Matt for working so hard for such long hours for such a LONG time! He has accomplished so much, and I'm pretty sure he's just going to keep on goin'!
Great job, sweetheart!

NEMO!

In Latin, Nemo means "nobody", but this certainly is a "somebody" storm! Everything, and I mean everything, was closed by noon today, and there is a full transportation emergency in effect, forcing (almost) everyone to be off the roads and out of the skies. But sitting in our almost-too-warm living room, the storm is pretty fun! Matt and I actually got to spend a whole weekday together. We took advantage and booked our flights to Geneva (for March 11), planned some portion of our Spain adventure, and took a short walk in the storm. The wind is pretty blinding and sharp, so that was quite quick. But I'd say overall, it has been a success. Now it's time for wine, a movie, and more than likely some popcorn for Heather. And we don't even have to worry about a snow plow taking off the mirror of our car again- we finally sold it!! Cheers to a windy night sleep!

P.S.: Here's an album of more photos of the aftermath.
